Hooboy, are we crispy.

 

Friday we went to the beach at 10 a.m., came back at 5 p.m., and saw we were toasted.  We had used 36 SPF sunblock, but didn’t reapply.  So now we’re slathering Ocean Potion liquid ice on us every 4 hours.

 

The water, as mentioned before, is very warm, and the waves aren’t very high.  This led kiddo to be disappointed that he couldn’t boogie board.  He saw some other kids skim boarding, so he wanted one of those.  So today we did the great skim-board hunt, even though we knew it wouldn’t fit into our luggage.  Jennene has a plan for that, but I’m still skeptical.

 

We decided to shop around today and go to the beach after 5 p.m.  This allowed us to watch the sunset from the water, truly a relaxing experience.

 

Even though we are sunburned, we are so relaxed.
